This day trip is designed for small groups (maximum 8 people). Your local guide will drive you from Zaragoza in a comfortable minivan through the countryside of southern Aragón. During the journey you will discover the history of the area and the importance of water in shaping this extraordinary natural park. Once at the monastery, we will walk along well-maintained trails surrounded by rivers, lakes and lush vegetation.
The park is famous for its impressive waterfalls, hidden grottoes and peaceful atmosphere. One of the highlights is the Cola de Caballo waterfall, where the sound of the water and the rock formations create an unforgettable setting. The Monasterio de Piedra was founded in the 12th century by Cistercian monks and became one of the most important monasteries in Aragón.
During the visit, you will learn about medieval monastic life, architecture and the transformation of the old monastery into the beautiful cultural and natural space that it is today. After the walking route, there will be free time to relax, take photographs or enjoy local gastronomy in the area.
